The Shed is a music venue in Leicester city centre that was established in 1994 and lovingly ran for over 20 years before new ownership took over & breathed new life back into the much love building. After re-opening on April 1st 2017, The Shed has now played host to a whole plethora of incredible artists with a huge range of performance styles and followings.

This pandemic allowed us to step back and re-evaluate what we love and what you love, and we’re excited for our next chapter to unfold as we re-open again in summer 2021. Initially, we will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings only as we get used to this new world! We hope to bounce back to full bands and full capacity this year, as well as the returning of the *world* renowned Ambush clubnight!

At The Shed we have two amazing spaces: the Main Room and The Vault. Pre pandemic both of these spaces were top end venues, but we’ve made a few upgrades recently to make the most of the new normal. The Vault has been upgraded to your new favourite alt bar, a place where you can chill out before, during or after a gig – even if you’ve not got a ticket to the gig. So if you feel like you’re not welcome anywhere else, you can always hang out with us.

We’re also excited to introduce a BRAND NEW MEMBERSHIP SCHEME that comes with it’s own members only online portal – so if you can’t make it in person you never have to miss out on the fun. To find out more on that click here.

Our age restrictions are: all ages until 7pm with under 16s accompanied by an adult, 14+ 7pm – 11pm (with under 16s accompanied by an adult) and strictly 18+ after 11pm

You will need ID to be served alcohol drinks & gain entry to the venue after 11pm.
